Post-Doc position in biological solid-State NMR
The biological solid-state NMR group of Anja Böckmann at the IBCP in Lyon (www.ibcp.fr) has an opening for a post-doc.
The project is part of the Bio-NMR European joint research activity on protein structure determination by solid-state NMR, and is a collaboration which is pursued with the groups of Beat H. Meier (ETH Zurich) and Peter Güntert (University of Frankfurt). It involves production and purification of model proteins, starte-of-the-art spectroscopy, spectral analysis and structure determination. It is the aim of the project to develop a general, reliable protocol for structure determination by solid-state NMR.
For more information please contact Dr. Anja Böckmann at a.bockmann@ibcp.fr

Post-doctoral positions in Strasbourg/Illkirch
Post-doctoral program in molecular Biophysics
Biomolecular NMR group of IGBMC
Illkirch near Strasbourg (France)
The group of biomolecular NMR is seeking several hihgly motivated researcher to fullfill three post-doctoral and engineer positions in the fields of RNA/protein interactions and NMR/MS signal processing.
RNA/PROTEIN INTERACTIONS
We are developing new tools to gain insight into protein/RNA complexes. These approches are based on specific labelling of RNA and proteins by spin labels, and combined EPR and NMR measurements.
==> A three year Post-doctoral position is available for this project. The researcher will be in charge of proteins and RNA labelling, expression and purification. Experience in molecular biology and general biophysical methods is required. Knowledge of biomolecular NMR methods will be appreciated.

INSTRUMENTATION / SIGNAL PROCESSING
We are involved in the development of new acquisition and processing technics in the field of NMR and ICR Mass Spectrometry, in particular the development of multidimensional Fourier Transform Spectroscopy in NMR and FT-ICR.
In conjunction with the NMRTEC company, two one year positions are opened :
==> A one year Post-Doctoral position in signal treatment, and 1D and 2D Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (MS and NMR) (Marc-André Delsuc IGBMC)
==> A one year Engineer Position in computational development to develop a complete processing... [Read More]

Nov 01, 2010 - 7:43 PM - by markber
|
An NIH-funded postdoctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Dr. Steve M. King in the Department of Biochemistry. The project involves determination of the structure and dynamics of components of the dynein microtubule motor complex using NMR spectroscopy. A strong background in biophysics is required. Applications should be sent by email to steve@king2.uchc.edu.

NMR postdoctoral positions - Alexandrescu's Group - University of Connecticut |
Nov 01, 2010 - 7:38 PM - by markber
|
Several postdoctoral positions are available in the laboratory of Dr Andrei Alexandrescu at the UConn-Storrs campus. The aim of this NSF-funded project is to obtain an improved structural description of protein folding. A particular area of emphasis is to explore the use of NMR residual dipolar couplings data for the structural characterization of non-native states. A related interest is the development of methods for increasing the efficiency of NMR structure determination by combining "knowledge-based" restraints with the smallest possible number of experimentally-derived NMR restraints. The research projects will involve multidimensional heteronuclear NMR experiments and computation. Preference will be given to recent PhD graduates with strengths in computational biology or protein expression.
For more information, please contact Dr Andrei Alexandrescu, Department of Molecular and Cell Biology, University of Connecticut-Storrs, 95 N. Eagleville Road, Storrs CT 06269 (TEL: 860-486-4414; EMAIL: andrei@uconn.edu). Applications should contain a curriculum vitae and the names and email addresses of three persons willing to provide a letter of reference.
