Default T1 Rho relaxation

T1 Rho relaxation

I am looking for some guidance on researching T1rho relaxation. Does anybody have updated information or references to explain the lengthening of T2 in a spin lock field (T1 rho relaxation)?

If, like me, you are confused, you might find Redfield's energy/entropy explanation (Phys Rev 98, 6, 1955, p 1792) to be comprehensible.
