Default Measuring modified protein structures - Phys.Org

Measuring modified protein structures
Phys.Org
Although there is a series of techniques to study structurally modified proteins, such as x-ray crystallography, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and other spectroscopic techniques, they cannot be used to analyse complex biological samples.

Crystal structure of a cyanobacterial protein associated with nitrogen fixation - Phys.Org <img alt="" height="1" width="1" /> Crystal structure of a cyanobacterial protein associated with nitrogen fixation Phys.Org NMR and other biophysical data collected at EMSL confirmed that the biological unit of DUF269 in solution was the same as observed in the asymmetric unit of the crystal, a dimer. Further biochemical experiments are in progress to determine the ... Read here

[KPWU blog] [Xplor-NIH] modified residues (protein)
modified residues (protein) I searched the Xplor-NIH mailing list to know how many modified amino acids are supported in Xplor-NIH. So far, I can see N-terminal acetylation and spin labeled (MTSL) cysteine are documented in the mailing list. I wonder to know if acetylated lysine, phosphorylated serine, threonine and methylation are also supported in Xplor-NIH. Here is the http://stats.wordpress.com/b.gif?host=kpwu.wordpress.com&blog=76132&post=750&subd=kpwu&ref=&feed=1 Go to KPWU blog to read complete post.
