Default Setting up deuterium (2H) NMR on Bruker BBO probe

Setting up deuterium (2H) NMR on Bruker BBO probe

I need to set up 2H NMR on a Bruker 600 MHz BBO probe for the first time. Can anyone give me a set of instructions? Do I run in protonated or deuterated solvent? How do I tune 2H on the BB channel? What 2H values do I need in the edprosol table? What pulse program? What hardware connections or disconnections, e.g. removing the 2H stop filter....

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Calibration of a Bruker NMR probe
Calibration of a Bruker NMR probe I've received a loaner probe from Bruker while ours is being repaired but I'm not getting any timely response on instructions on calibrating it for use. Anyone have a resource or documentation? Thanks, Ken

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Beginners question: checking probe and multinulear ability in Bruker machines
Beginners question: checking probe and multinulear ability in Bruker machines Hi All, This may be a daft question, but how do I go about identifying the probe in our NMR machine, and hence whether it's capable of measuring (simple 1D) 19F spectra? It is a Bruker Avance 500, and I was under the impression that it might be capable of this with a little fiddling (http://www.chem.uic.edu/nmr/downloads/Avance-19F_Guide.0201.pdf), if I'm lucky wrt to what probe we have. Thanks Addition (1724, 260911): I have now confirmed that it is a BBO probe. What else is needed for the linked...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Tuning probe failed after a dual probe was replaced with a BBI probe
Tuning probe failed after a dual probe was replaced with a BBI probe We generally use Dual to run 13C and BBI to run 2D. After changed the probe, the command "edhead" was used to set the probe. Put the sample tube, lock the solvent, and then type "atma" to tune the probe. We always do it like this, but now we can not tune the proton after installed the BBI probe (13C is OK). The dip can not be found by "atma", and "atmm" was also not work on forming a dip. What is the most possible reason for this error? How to solve it and avoid it in the future ? Thanks. (Instrument: Bruker 400 MHz,...

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] What may cause lock level depend on pfgon setting in vnmr?
What may cause lock level depend on pfgon setting in vnmr? Hello, I've been working through the probe performance tests and noticed that when I change pfgon='yyy' to pfgon='nyn' lock level drops to about 50% of the previous. Does it indicate some problem in the PFG amplifier or elsewhere? Thank you. P.S. gradtype setting on our system is 'ttt'
