Default bigger MAS-NMR spectrum as irradiation window

bigger MAS-NMR spectrum as irradiation window

Hi,

I have a sample with a very very big CSA which is broader than my irradiation windows, so I have to acquire my data in 2 or more experiments (shaped pulses are enough and I can't go for another probehead). I need to do a simulation of the resulting spectrum, but I have to make sure my irradiation power is the same everywhere so the resulting sum spectrum isn't distorted. I heard about an article about how to choose the different irradiation windows of each measure so the sum still can be simulated but I couldn't get the source. I can't find it. Has anyone ever heard of it ? Can someone give me the reference? Thanks for your help

[Question from NMRWiki Q&A forum] Why RF irradiation will damage amplifier?
Why RF irradiation will damage amplifier? Here our 1H amplifier of NMR spectrometer is damaged twice for long time or high power RF irradiation. Why the duty cycle is important for amplifier or probe? If the damage happens to amplifier, which part of it is broken? edit: The type of our spectrometer is Varian InfinityPlus for solids bought in 2003. I have no idea about the sort of amplifiers, just know the amplifier is for power output. Someone used about 80kHz 1H power for 1H decoupling during 100-200ms acquisition. The efficiency of the amplifier output droped gradually. The efficiency...
