Best way to make a 2D figure

Best way to make a 2D figure

Hi all,

I need to make a figure containing a 2D NMR spectrum for a paper. Has anyone figured out a good way to do this? The journal requires the figure to be editable, thus I need to end up with PostScript, eps, or similar (not jpg, png, etc).

Thanks,Mark

Do you use Sparky to view your spectra? If so, there is a nice feature of Sparky that lets you convert the .ucsf file into .ps, which can subsequently be converted into PDFs via free .ps-->PDF converters. To do the .ucsf to .ps, make sure your spectrum is selected, then click "File-->Print-->Save-->it will automatically save as .ps then.

Also, you can set the exact spectrum window in Sparky so you end up with similar sized spectra -- assuming that you will be laying spectra side-by-side, with a final overlaid spectrum (e.g. apo, +metal, overlay apo and +metal). Make sure to enhance the contour levels such that each peak will be easily seen on the white background.
